Ballroom Dancing nationals were held in Salt Lake City, Utah in the summer of 2001. Having had to go there for the 2 days of competition, Shurik and I decided to make a vacation out of it, and took the week off. It turned out that Utah is a pretty amazing place, with five national parks, of which we only had time to visit 2 -- Arches and Zion. These were pretty amazing, and sparked up my interest driving me to venture out to more parks -- Yellowstone and Grand Teton, Wyoming and Hawaii. I am looking forward to further hikes in Glacier, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, and others.

After the competition we went to explore some of the natural caves around Salt Lake City together with Borya and Sonya.
