Lead the design and
development of the web-based IPO lottery, enabling Merrill Lynch to offer the
premium IPO service to online clients, differentiating itself from the
competition. n
Managed multiple
projects for the online brokerage as well as internal order and wealth
management tools, leading teams of 2 to 10 developers. Defined business
requirements, produced functional prototypes, participated in architectural
design, defined schedules and constructed budget estimates. n
Prototyped the user
interface, designed and implemented front end and middle tier, using the
Microsoft COM architecture for parts of the online brokerage. Developed an
XML to Visual Basic code generator to streamline and standardize generation
of HTML data entry forms. n Administered the Sybase database of the online
brokerage. Optimized database performance by rewriting queries and improving
data schema; wrote stored procedures and database access layer. |

architecture and developed the website’s infrastructure using PERL and MySQL.
